 The Rules of the Challenge Minimize

Your Goal for the 20 Minute Challenge is to try for at least 20 Minutes of exercise a day 5 days a week for 20 days.  I will provide you 20 daily custom workouts for $20 that will be in written & photo or video format.  You don't have to do the workouts I give you, but you do want to try to raise your heartrate.  You get 1 point per day for doing your 20 Minutes.  You can earn an extra point per day for every person you get to exercise with you and if you do an extra 20 minute workout.  You can get 10 extra points for getting someone to join the Challenge.  You can get 10 extra points for submitting before & after pictures as well as measurements before and after.  There is a calendar on the Point Tracker to where you will find daily extra points to earn.  Also, if you volunteer to help me with pictures/video, I will reward you greatly with bonus points.  There is also a daily questionaire, if you get the answer correct you can earn 2 extra points per day.  There is a 1st and 2nd place prize for all you competitors out there!  Come join the fun and see how you can transform your body today!

You made it!  Way to go!  I know that trying to fit in exercise somehow everyday can be a challenge.  I am proud of each one of you for giving it your best and challenging yourself in a new way! Today's workout is alot of fun!  You will get your heartrate up and feel great when you are through!  Luke and Amy did a great job demonstrating for us!  Remember if you are pregnant, you may want to stick with the low impact version and take a break if needed.  You don't want your heartrate to get too high.  If your body gets too hot, then the baby is going to feel the effects of that.  Also, how much water is everyone drinking?  Do a H2o check today and see how much water you are consuming?  If you are thirsty, then you are probably already dehydrated.  Try to keep a bottle of water handy at all times!  Enjoy your workouts!

Today walk a mile and see how fast you can do it in!  Your goal is to try to get it done in under 20 minutes.  For every minute you do it under the 20 minute mark, giver yourself 2 extra points per minute.  Post your time under the Grumble Column.  Good luck!

Half way through the Challenge...get ready for some great workouts!  We have had some very gracious helpers with pictures and videos.  How are YOU doing?  Are you finding it hard to fit in your 20 Minute Workouts?  Here are some suggestions to help motivate you:

1.   Do it first thing in the morning...before you shower.  You will help jumpstart you day!

2.   Grab a workout partner.  Motivation by numbers goes along way in reaching a goal!

3.   Find you some new tunes to listen to.  Music has a way of getting your blood flowing and your booty going!

4.   Tell a friend about your fitness goals, so they can help keep you accountable.

5.   Schedule yourself a time slot.  Sometimes we do so much for others that we forget about taking care of ourselves.  You deserve at least those 20 Minutes!

Woohoo!  You have completed Week 2!  What an accomplishment!  Keep on moving and before you know it this will become a habit you not only look forward too but your body will crave.  I know it sounds crazy, but trust me your body feels better when it works more efficiently.  By daily challenging your heart, you are extending your life and making it a healthier one!  Way to go...keep it up!

Congratulations!  You have completed your first week of the 20 Minute Challenge.  Your body may be sore, but have you found that you have more energy to complete every day task?!  If you haven't hit this point yet, keep working at it...it WILL come!  You will be amazed at what you can accomplish and the motivation it will give to others!  Keep up the great work...I have a feeling that this is going to be a competitive bunch...I am anxious to see how this Challenge turns out!

Today is your first workout video.  Andrea did a great job of demonstrating each move for today's workout. I hope you enjoy the mid-week break with the video!  If you are interested in earning extra bonus points, volunteer to be a model/actoress in future workouts.  You will be awarded 15 extra points for a video and 10 extra for pictures. 

Also, this week look for an Extra All Abs Workout!  We had a few requests...so be ready!

Well...how was your first day?!  Are you finding the website easy to navigate?  How does your body feel?  If you are already sore today, dont worry you might be a little bit more sore each day of this week.  Your body is adjusting to something new.  A little bit of discomfort and soreness is okay.  If you are very, very sore take it easy on your self and do what you can.  Remember, the goal is to do something every day, not to kill yourself the first few days, make yourself miserable and then quit.  It is all about perisistant consistance!  You can do it!  Always feel free to leave me a message on the Grumble Column or email me at emullins00@cox.net.
